Gaga And Co. Ensure A Full Season Of Song

Australia will see its fair share of the world’s musical celebrities with a full line up of confirmed and rumoured gigs on the cards, including Madonna, Taylor Swift and Lady Gaga.

Taylor Swift

The end of 2011 was abuzz with hearsay and whispers that Madonna would be bringing her (disputed) Queen of Pop presence to Australia. Perez Hilton suggests that the months of October and November will be made far sweeter by Madonna's presence.

In a continuation of the Madonna/Lady Gaga rivalry, rumours have swirled that the Mother Monster will be swinging by Australia in July as part of her mammoth and unprecedented 450 show tour. An idea which, according to a source for The Sun, "came to her in her sleep."

While Madonna and Gaga are rumours, Taylor Swift is a certainty! The bubbly yet raw songstress will be appearing on Australian shores in March, including gigs in Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane.

Some may be excited by this, others less so, but regardless, it should be a blast from the 90s past when Backstreet Boys come to town. The second half of May will see them touring in Australia alongside another boy band stalwart: New Kids on the Block.

All of this is a little ways away, so those hungry for live music should welcome the news that Coldplay will be performing a two-show, whirlwind stop-off on our shores on Feb. 16 and 17. These will not be standard gigs, with the band performing on 2DAY FM and Sunrise.

Gigs a plenty.
