Katy Perry all a-Twitter for her new film

Katy Perry has announced she will be incorporating the thoughts and Tweets of her many fans as part of creating her upcoming concert movie.

Katy Perry has, at the time of writing, 16,711,830 Twitter followers. She is most certainly looking to grow that number with the singer announcing that her followers will be able to have a say in the direction of her upcoming film, Katy Perry: Part of Me.

From what she wears to what she sings and probably a few other things in between, followers will be able to play a role in shaping the concert movie.

“What better way to kick start the filmmaking process than by inviting her millions of fans on Twitter into her world," said Amy Powell, President of Insurge Pictures (the studio producing the film).

Katy recently spoke with MTV about the film saying "It's closing the chapter on Teenage Dream, but it's giving you such an inside perspective.

"This film, you're going to see it from my best friend/buddy perspective, you're going to see exactly what I mean and feel and think about everything," she said. "I've [worked on] most of this film for a very long time and the word 'cheap' was not in the vocabulary.

"But it's 3-D. You're going to get hit with a lot of s**t."

Meanwhile, rumours have swirled of a new love interest for the colourful singer. Katy was seen partying with Baptiste Giabiconi, a French model, during the Paris Fashion Week.

It turns out that is about all they were doing. Baptiste recently made a point of the fact the two were only good friends.

"Katy Perry is a real good friend. Seriously, we appreciate each other, we see each other regularly, when she is here [in France], when I'm over there [in the U.S.]," Baptiste said to the French paper, News-de-stars.com
