Katy’S July Screening

Katy Perry has announced the release date for her concert movie, letting a trailer loose onto the web in the process.

The build-up to Katy Perry’s upcoming concert film, Katy Perry: Part of me, is well and truly underway.

Last week it was announced fans would have a chance to direct some of the action through Twitter, including what she wears and what she sings.

Now comes the trailer. It is a slick affair, providing a brief action-packed review of her rise as a singer.

It also gives an insight into the film’s camera work which, going by the last few shots, will give the audience the perspective of being on stage.

The film is scheduled for release on July 5.

Katy spoke with MTV about the 3-D film calling it an inside perspective in the closing chapter of Teenage Dream. She said the audience will see the film from the perspective of a best friend.

"You're going to see exactly what I mean and feel and think about everything," she said.

Meanwhile, Katy has been making waves with her recent performance at the opening ceremony for the IPL, a huge cricket fixture in India. Her performance included an on-stage cameo by Doug Bollinger.
