Blunt: "It Was Easy"

Emily Blunt has opened up about all things romantic, and it seems she’s had a pretty smooth time of it.

Emily Blunt Interviews

Over the last few days, Emily Blunt has been cornered on all things romantic. The English actress, who has been touring Australia, should not be too surprised. First there is her marriage; second, there is her latest flick, The Five-Year Engagement, which is all about, well, love.

When chatting about her new beau, John Krasinski, Emily recently admitted it was fairly plain sailing.

"I had a pretty smooth run with my engagement. We were engaged and we had a fantastic wedding. It was easy," she told The Sunday Telegraph.

To be sure, the actress, known for her performances in The Devil Wear’s Prada and The Adjustment Bureau, has not been revealing everything.

In a recent interview with The Daily Telegraph, she was wary about elaborating on her wedding with actor John, of The Office fame.

"Mine -- my own. I never talk about it because it was so special, I find it hard to sum it up," she said.

The pair married in the northern Italian town of Como in 2010.

Departing from the subject of love, and arriving in the territory of Five-Year Engagement, Emily had many good words for Jason Segel, the comedy actor famous both for his TV and movie work.

"He has no ego on screen," Blunt told The Sunday Telegraph. "He's not threatening. He hasn't got anything to prove. He represents the everyman in his work.

"He is more than happy, unlike most people in Hollywood, to go out to a bar, and meet people. He will sit with strangers all night. He is interested in life. He soaks it up like a sponge."
