Rachael On The
Novelty Boat

Rachael Taylor has returned to Australia, and is now set to share her skills in an upcoming reality competition show. The show itself looks more intriguing than the standard fare currently on TV.

Rachael Taylor I Will Survive

Audiences would be excused for being tired of the current fashion in reality TV competition shows. It is either music or food, with occasional novelty through Australia’s Got Talent -- though that often simply returns to the world of music.

TV screens, however, are likely to enjoy some more colourful reality shows in the future, with actress Rachael Taylor to share her flair and aptitude in an upcoming program.

I Will Survive is the project, a talent search inspired by the classic The Adventures Of Priscilla, Queen Of The Desert.

The program, put together by Network Ten and Fremantle Media Australia, will follow the travails of hopefuls as they show off their triple skills in singing, dancing and acting. The reward: the starring role of drag-queen Tick in the theatrical version of Priscilla. A knack for drag is clearly a prerequisite.

Rachael, who replaced Jessica Mauboy for the position, will be an "acting mentor." The exact details of this role remain unclear.

I Will Survive looks set to join the likes of Bollywood Star -- a talent show offering something distinct.

Bollywood, to air on SBS in early June, follows the trials and tribulations of Sydney and Melbourne aspirants as they attempt to impress filmmaker Anupam Sharma, Bollywood talent-spotter Raj Suri and Bollywood choreographer Dipti Patil. The winner will receive the starring role in an upcoming Bollywood flick.
