An Actor's
Concern Solved

Chris Hemsworth and Philip Seymour Hoffman can rest easy. They have just avoided the big concern of all actors: getting the next gig. To be sure, neither has had to worry about that much of late.

Chris Hemsworth's new movie

One can lay claim to an Academy Award for best actor; the other is a rising star who might be interested in the notion of adding some trophies to his cabinet.

Regardless, both Chris Hemsworth (pictured) and Philip Seymour Hoffman have achieved that more pressing concern of the actor: their next gig.

Philip, who walked away with the Oscar for best actor for his performance in Capote in 2005, is slated to be making an appearance in the upcoming flick, Catching Fire -- the sequel to The Hunger Games.

He has been offered the part of Plutarch Heavensbee, the new gamemaker. There is no confirmation he has accepted the offer.

Jennifer Lawrence will be reprising her role as Katniss Everdeen, while a new director will be taking the reins: Francis Lawrence.

The director recently revealed he hopes to bring the sequel to the (very big) screen, saying certain scenes will be filmed with IMAX cameras.

Josh Hutcherson is also making a return.

While his younger brother, Liam (also in The Hunger Games) recently announced his engagement to singer Miley Cyrus, Chris Hemsworth has made sure he would have his own talking points for the dinner-table.

The Avengers and Thor star is set to appear in the upcoming flick, In The Heart Of The Sea.

The movie is based on the real-life story of a U.S. whaling ship, the Essex. The vessel was stalked and ultimately destroyed by a sperm whale in 1820. The crew were lost at sea for 90 days; only eight members of the crew were rescued.

Nathaniel Philbrick wrote a prize-winning novel about the event in 2000. It is reported to be forming the basis of the movie.

Chris is set to play a first mate in the movie.
