Indiana Misses Home
Indiana Evans was glad her co-star was a fellow Australian.
"We were homesick together. We were in the same boat," she recently told The Daily Telegraph.
The actor, who has appeared in Home and Away and Crownies, is set to appear as Emma Robinson in the upcoming telemovie Blue Lagoon: The Awakening.
The show is based on the 1908 story by Henry De Vere Stacpoole. It follows a boy and girl who are marooned on an island and eventually fall in love.
Her co-star is fellow Home and Away star, Brenton Thwaites.
"It was such a coincidence that they picked two Australian actors. When you're on set and say some Aussie term that no one understands and they look at you funny, it was good to have another Aussie to have your back," she said.
It would be wrong, however, to say her experience was a grueling challenge of wistfulness. In fact, she said it was often thrilling, with some surprises.
"Just turning up there and the sheer scale of it all, with everyone having a trailer. That was small budget for them but it was the biggest thing I've ever done.
"It was very busy. There were big days to try to get it done quickly. There were paparazzi and I really wasn't expecting that ... it was new territory."
The show will appear in the U.S. on Lifetime, but there is no word about it appearing in Australia.
