Parenting Ease For Chris

Chris Hemsworth has made it clear that being an actor is not his only expertise -- changing nappies is the other.

Chris Hemsworth on being a fatherChris Hemsworth, as he acts or speaks on the red carpet, seems so completely at ease -- a person comfortable in his occupation. Alongside his acting skill, the Australian actor has made it obvious he has another talent: changing nappies.

"I have changing nappies down pat," he told The Daily Telegraph.

"I feel like it is a Formula 1 pit stop, in and out of there in 15 seconds and she's back on the track. I can proudly say I'm now an expert at assembling changing tables, strollers, prams and cots."

Chris recently became a father with his wife of two years, Elsa Pataky, in May.

The star of Thor and The Avengers said the arrival of India Rose into the world has certainly shifted his priorities.

"Despite everything that is going on with work, it all paled into the background as soon as I had a baby," he said.

Given his movie-star status, and the busyness it brings, it seems Chris is having a hard time getting back home.

"We were hoping to come back this time but it was just too quick and tight, organising passports and all that, she's just too young and it is such a long way to come," he said.

"I am more homesick than I've ever been at the moment because I normally get back a few weeks a year, but the last time I was back there was for Thor for three days last year, so I certainly didn't get my fix from that."

Clearly Chris needs to develop a third expertise. Alongside acting and nappy-changing, the actor might do well to find ways to lighten his work load. However, with a new flick already slated, this seems unlikely.
