While the world has been focused on London 2012 over the past week, celebrities have been lying low because they won't garner the attention they crave! However, there have been a handful making news so we thought we'd present the "What You’ve Most Likely Missed Because You’ve Been Too Busy Watching London 2012."

Let's start with Mariah Carey. It's been a few years since the pop diva released any new music that wasn't Christmas related (she's also given birth in that time, too), but she chose this week to release her comeback single "Triumphant (Get 'Em)."

Featuring Rick Ross and Meek Mill, Mariah doesn't actually sing a verse until about the three minute mark!

A Brad Pitt movie has become somewhat of an event because they're so few and far between now. The trailer for his new flick, "Killing Them Softly," hit the web over the past couple of days and looks like it's going to be a great crime, action drama, featuring a stellar cast along for the ride.

Nicki Minaj continues to show that she’s become a major crossover success with her latest single "Pound The Alarm" and has shown us that she likes a good pound of flesh too!

The rapper/singer struts around Trinidad in feathers and not much else for her new music video that was released over the past week.

“Miley Cyrus In Nude Photo Scandal” read the headlines. It’s wasn’t quite as salacious as many reported, but there was Miley, naked in a bathtub. Except everything was discreetly covered. The pic was reportedly intended for Liam Hemsworth's eyes only, but it's here if you want to see it.

Will Ferrell went on Conan O'Brien's show in the U.S. visibly upset about the breakup of Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson, calling the actress a "Trampire" for cheating on R-Patts. It's very funny and worth a look.

Lady Gaga has announced the follow up to her Born This Way album, writing on Twitter, "Make sure when writing about my new album/project ARTPOP that you CAPITALIZE the title, *its all in the details*"

And finally Lily Allen has chosen the Olympic fortnight to announce a musical comeback, after taking an indefinite hiatus following the release of her 2009 album It's Not Me, It's You. However, the singer is changing names. Allen will now be known as Lily Rose Cooper and said in a statement, “It’s great to work at my own pace, with no commitments other than to make music. I’m excited to be heading back into the studio.”
