Hugh Jackman: My Secret Diet Success

The 43-year-old undergoes a strict diet and exercise regime every time he has to get back into character for the role which propelled him to international stardom.
Before filming commenced in Sydney, Jackman was on the London and Paris set of Les Misérable alongside Hathaway, who had to slim down for the role of Fantine.
"She said, I'm starting to slow down,” Jackman recalled to Entertainment Tonight. “And I said, 'I tell you, the key for me for getting shredded, 45 minutes first thing in the morning, low intensity cardio on an empty stomach. Because if you have any kind of food, even a banana or anything, your body will just burn that. So first thing in the morning then it burns the fat.' So that's the key."
During the filming of Woverine, Jackman’s also been handing out diet advice on his Twitter.
"One thing I've learnt on this Wolverine,” he tweeted out. “Don't be afraid of 'good' fats: avocados, hummus, almonds. Am adding two meals but am leaner than ever."
That's not to say that the married father of two doesn't struggle to get fit, revealing he was nervous prior to the start of production, "It was so hard for me to get into shape. Will Smith famously said it's so much easier to stay in shape than get in shape."
However, it’s nice to know that he deals with the same food demons we all do when he posted on Twitter, "A friend just sent me this photo of the ricotta pancakes from Bill's [Sydney’s famous restaurant owned by celebrity chef Bill Granger]. This is exactly what I'm having when I wrap!!"
