Delicious Sites
From Foodies

Australians certainly know their way around a kitchen. The incredible array of seafood, vegetables and fruits available down under guarantees you will never go hungry. We found mouth-watering inspiration in 10 of our favourite Aussie food blogs, covering everything from barbecue to pub food to chocolate cake. Need we say more?

Helen is the writer and eater behind this Sydney food blog. She’s a columnist, Cheap Eats Editor for the 2012 Eating and Drinking Sydney guide, writer and reviewer. She holds strong to the belief that food tastes better when shared with friends. Helen prefers actual eating to cooking, and her blog is filled with restaurant visits and pictures. We couldn’t stop thinking about the delicious pintxos in this post about a visit to The Carrington.

What Katie Ate

The photography alone on this site makes it well worth a visit. Katie Quinn Davies is a commercial photographer based in Sydney, and runs her blog in her spare time. Her latest project is a cookbook that she’s really excited about. The pictures of this chocolate cake alone made us want to put on an apron and head for the kitchen.

Hotly spicedHotly Spiced

Charlie Louie is the writer, photographer and lover of all things food who created Hotly Spiced after receiving a rejection letter from a publisher. She weaves wonderful stories in with gorgeous pictures and tempting recipes. We wound up craving these potato scallops.

The Backwards Chef

TCB is the food blogger who doesn’t really believe in recipes. She adapts recipes to suit various needs, including diabetes, wheat-free, gluten-free and vegan. She was university-trained as a dietitian but soon realised that she couldn’t expect to change the lives of unhealthy people by simply lecturing them on how to eat. She decided to pursue a career in food instead, which has been a life-long passion for her. Honeycomb ice cream, anyone?

My Darling Lemon ThymeMy Darling Lemon Thyme

The writer behind this beautiful blog is Emma, a trained chef who spent most of her time in the pastry section of restaurants, cafes and catering companies. When both she and her children were diagnosed with gluten and lactose intolerance, she had to completely change the way she cooked for her family. She decided to start her blog as a way to share her recipes and ideas about living gluten and lactose free. These pumpkin cakes have us tempted to skip dinner and head straight to dessert.

Where’s the Beef?

Cindy and Michael are the Melbourne couple behind this vegetarian blog. With their insatiable appetite for new dishes, they post often. Their extensive recipe collection includes everything from tofu scramble to where to find the best not-dogs around. These chipotle carrot chips have us drooling.

Strayed from the tableStrayed from the Table

A love of good food and drink led Roy and Liz to start this blog, which is filled with incredible photographs. They love to travel, love good food and are willing to try anything. Liz has 10 years of experience in the food industry and her eye for photographing food and outdoor markets is wonderful. Check out this recipe for chicken kebabs next time you’re a wee bit hungry.

A Moment on the Lips

Frank -- who says her blog “chronicles every delicious moment, recipe, experience to have earned me my fabulous, womanly hips” -- is the woman behind this delicious dessert blog. How can you not love that? She grew up in a large family where the family interactions revolved around the kitchen, and she loves to share food with friends and family. We are hoping she might share some of these amazing cupcakes with us.

Orgasmic chefOrgasmic Chef

With the tagline "food that’s better than sex" how can you not check this one out? This is a visually inspiring blog, with recipes sorted into an amazing number of categories. The author isn’t a trained chef --- just an amazing cook. The blog features a series called Food Writer Fridays, with great interviews. These pumpkin and pine nut ravioli just might transport you to Tuscany.

Stovetop Revolution

Sophie is a young blogger from Sydney who loves eating, cooking and talking about food. Her photographs are fun, not fancy -- and roaming around her blog feels a bit like hanging out at her house with her mates. She regularly bribes her friends to eat her food, which we think isn’t too hard. She can bribe us anytime with these roasted plums.

Now it's your turn

Whittling this list down to 10 was a difficult task. Who is your favourite Australian food blogger? Let us know in the comments section.

Thank you so much for giving everyone remarkably brilliant chance to discover important secrets from this blog. It is usually so kind and as well , packed with a lot of fun for me and my office co-workers to visit your site a minimum of three times every week to see the new issues you have. And indeed, I am also usually pleased with your spectacular tips and hints you give. Certain two areas in this article are honestly the finest we have ever had.
